Christmas Stocking and -Card

These are the really last projects I can show you which I made during my days as a member of the Scrapdelight design team. Since it's the last day of 2012, I think it's save to show them to you.

At the counter of Scrapdelight I bumped into a Christmas stocking and since Christmas is nothing without a stocking I just had to have it. Well, this is what I've done with it...

There's also a Chtrstmas card I still have to show you:

Supplies: Ranger's Distress Ink, Donna Salazar Mix'd Media Inx "Jasmine", Embossing powder, Liquitex Light Modeling Paste, The Crafter's Workshop 6x6 template "Mini Bricks", Unity Stamp ("Marah Freedom") te bestellen via de winkel.

I'm not sure if Í will be posting later on today, but if not...
I'd like to wish you all a happy, healthy and creative 2013!

Hope the see you around in the new year!!

Inkido DT Call

I probably don't stand a chance, since I'm actually a bit late to enter for this DT call, but... hey,  there's always that itty bitty chance that they like what they see. So, here we go.
Five of my favorite projects:

CARDABILITIES #66: HB2U, enjoy your day

It's the 30th of the last month of the year and it's time for a new a new card sketch from Cardablities (#66)!

Due to a class I took a short while ago at De Scrapheap, I made this card a 'bit' different from the cards I usually make.

Supplies: cardstock, Tesa Aluminium Tape, Adirondack Alcohol Ink, Tim Holtz die "Mini Bird & Cage set", Tim Holtz' Grunge paper, Spellbinders Nestabilities Circle/Scallop Circle, Ranger's Liquid Pearls.

This is the sketch

Hope you will come join us over at Cardablities for this great challenge!

Scrapdelight: Going out with a Bang

The last Sunday of 2012 is also the last day I will post on behalf of Scrapdelight, since I chose to leave the team. A decision I made a couple of months ago.

As I understand it, this will also be the last challenge posted on Scrapdelight's blog.

This is the layout I made:
Supplies: Pion Design "Silent Night", Tim Holtz die "Weathered Clock", Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities 6", swirl by ZVA Creative, Adirondack Alcohol Ink, QuicKutz alpha's "Metro" & "Diesel", KaiserCraft "Grunge" stamp, ribbon, flowers, Tesa Aluminium Tape.

...and a detail picture...
Since I knew what the title was going to be even before I knew what the sketch was going to look like, there was only one thing I could think of reusing on this page: a technique I also used on this page and would be perfect for the title of the page I'm showing here today. Hey... it had to look something like a "bang" right?!
This is the sketch we used.

If you want to see what Corina and Miranda did with the sketch just go over to Scrapdelight's blog to take a peek.

Later today I'll be posting for Cardabilities, so I hope you'll come and visite me again.
For now... Have a great Sunday!

Altered picture frame: "Endless Love"

Now this project has been laying finished on my desk for a small week or so. I just had to wait some, before I could put it on my blog.
On my surch for what paper to use I stuck on Pion Design "Studio of Memories". Now this is my all time favorite Pion Design collection, I just didn't now I still had some left. But lucky me...

Supplies: wooden picture frame, Pion Design's "Studio of Memories", music stamp by Artemio, Tim Holtz Idea-ology "Trinket Pins" and "Foliage", Crackle Paint "Picket Fence" and "Liquid Pearls" by Ranger's, roses by Wild Orchid Crafts, pearl ribbon.

The frame shape was cut out of the different papers. Then I stamped only the light colored paper and started tearing it up, inked the edges glued it to the other paper and took out the sewing machine.

Every here and there I put some crackle paint on the edges.
Now sometimes I dry the crackle paint with the heatgun, but I think it crack's better when you let it dry naturally. That's why I put the crackle paint on just before I had to go to work.
Some of the crackle paint was inked, other parts weren't.

After embellishing it, I glued it to the frame.

Checked it to see if it needed some more cracklepaint or ink on the edges and that's it.

It's been quite a while since I had so much fun being creative and I love the outcome.

Have a great day!

Input Scrapdelight Magazine

As most of you probably know Scrapdelight has a free digital magazine, Scrapdelight Extra, that's comes out ones in every while.
Well, at a Dutch hobby event called "KreaDoe" Scrapdelight had something new: a free glossy scrapbook magazine called Scrapdelight Magazine.

My input for this magazine was an altered bottle,  "Remember".

Since the magazine didn't show the swirl on the back of the bottle, you'll find some more pictures on the bottle right here.

Until next time.

Mixed Media Canvas

I made this canvas a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't post it. One of the reasons was that I just couldn't find a title for it. Finally I decided that I would leave it titleless.

It is something totally different of the things I usually make, but I 'really had fun creating it.
