CARDABILITIES #64: Welcome, Indy!

It's the 30th of the month and so time for a new card sketch over at Cardabilities, #64.
I really love this sketch and I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it.
Since one of the DT-members of another DT I'm in just gave birth to a baby girl, this sketch could only have one purpose...

Supplies: craft paper, cardboard, gesso, Ranger Crackle Paint, Tim Holtz Alterations die "Heart Wings", QuicKutz alphabet die, tule, hotfix, mini tag, embossing powders (4x).

Hope you like what I did with the sketch.

Have a great day!

maandag 12 november 2012

Well, it's monday again and so  at the Scrapdelight blog it is time to start a new week with a layout. This time it's my turn.

Those who know me know that I used a color that I don't usually work with: blue. I just can't work with that color, but I have to be honost by saying that I really like how this page turned out to be.

I started out with plain old cardstock, put some acrylic paint (2) on the top edge, sprayed it with water, and let it drip down over the page. After blowing it dry with my heat gun, I used some Tissue Wrap and anhered it over the whole page.
That was my base and from than on, I just went on with some 'regular' scrapbooking.

This is the first layout in ages that I made without inking all the edges. A kind a special for my doing.

I wasn't sure if I should or shouldn't use a black and white picture. Eventually I decided against it, to put a bith of warmth to the page.

Have a great Monday!
